GI Pipes

Galvanized Iron Pipe Systems for
Corrosion-Resistant Utility and Structural Use

Edoburg’s GI pipe systems are designed for long-life performance in water supply, structural scaffolding, fencing, and outdoor installations where corrosion resistance is critical. Manufactured using hot-dip galvanization of high-quality mild steel, these pipes provide a protective zinc coating that prevents rust and extends service life in exposed environments.

Available in standard, medium, and heavy-duty classes, Edoburg’s GI pipes conform to Indian and international specifications and are supplied project-ready for civil infrastructure, utility corridors, and export applications.

Standards

International Specifications

Our GI pipes are sourced from certified mills and finished to meet diverse project specifications. Each pipe is zinc-coated internally and externally through hot-dip galvanisation.

  • Available in round, square, and rectangular sections

  • Conforming to IS 1239 Part 1 & IS 3589 standards

  • Pressure-rated classes: Light (A), Medium (B), Heavy (C)

  • Threaded or plain ends with optional socketed fittings

  • Supplied in custom-cut lengths or standard 6-metre bars

Types of GI Pipes Edoburg offers

  • GI Light Class (Class A) Pipes
Lightweight zinc-coated pipes used for low-pressure water lines, irrigation, and boundary fencing. Cost-effective for rural and utility projects.

  • GI Medium Class (Class B) Pipes
Standard-grade GI pipes widely used in water supply, handrails, scaffolding, and structural frameworks. Balanced strength and corrosion resistance.

  • GI Heavy Class (Class C) Pipes
Thick-walled galvanized pipes designed for higher pressure and load-bearing applications. Suitable for firewater mains, high-rise risers, and industrial installations.

  • Threaded & Socketed GI Pipes
Supplied with BSP-threaded ends and GI sockets for fast assembly in plumbing and utility works. Conforming to IS 1239 Part 1.

  • Plain-End GI Pipes (Cut-to-Length)
Plain-ended pipes for welding or flanged connection. Available in standard or custom lengths with optional beveling or end caps.

  • Square & Rectangular GI Hollow Sections
Zinc-coated hollow structural sections used in railing, fencing, gates, and architectural metalwork.

  • Export-Grade GI Pipes
